One of the biggest challenges to any animal rescue is the poor cat or kitten with an illness. Though most of their ailments are treatable, keeping the disease from spreading requires conscientious cleaning of surfaces and washing hands between caring for the other cats. Sadly many animal shelters just don’t have the staff or time it takes to nurse these animals back to health. Consequently, most are needlessly euthanized. One little male kitten named Merry was in such a predicament. Fortunately, a shelter employee contacted NBCR. We rescued Merry along with his 3 siblings, Frodo, Pippin and Samwise when their time at the shelter was up. Merry was very sick with an upper respiratory infection, but after much TLC and a little medicine, he is now happy and healthy. All are ready to find their forever family except for Pippin because she has already been adopted.
Thank you so much for your donations to New Beginnings Cat Rescue. Because you give, we can continue to save the lives of innocent cats and kittens from being needlessly euthanized.
