326 BNY the 16-year-old girl lived with her uncle and aunt after her parents got divorced and both remarried. While going to school regularly , she became friends with a man who was introduced by a friend. Her uncle and aunt started neglecting her and she started feeling helped by that man. One day that man gave her a false promise of marrying her. "I couldn't make the right decision, I trusted him and I started living with him. But after a few days, I was like a hostage to abuse and sexual exploitation almost everyday. I was scared because he even threatened to kill me if I ran away or told anyone. But one day I took the courage to run away and came to Kathmandu." She told her story. She came under the protection of Bethany vision Nepalafter being rescued by the police when she was wandering around by herself in Buspark.
It took her months to recover from the trauma of the abuse. Also she was united with her mother with the help of the organization. She studies in class 8 and is currently leading a normal life.
In the last quarter we 8 girl child survivors were assisted to go home and live with family. Our social workers work tirelessly with the families and children to ensure no re-victimization.
