AAA (14 years) was rescued from Kathmandu in 2016 from at risk situation in Kathmandu. She was neglected by family and prone to end up in child labor and trafficking. She lived in Bethany's shelter for about 15 months after which she was re-unified with her family. Her brother and sister-in-law committed to take care of her along with their one son. She was admitted in Navaja Jeevan school in grade 3.
Since her re-unificaiton, Bethany's social worker made a regular follow ups, mosthly distant. In December, our team met her in the family. It was found that she is regular in school living with her father and step-mother. She loves her cousin who lives close and visits her frequently. Her helath seems good.
In December 2023, Bethany Vision set up on family visits of 14 children who were reunified into family in mainly three distrcts. They were found stable in the family. Families were found responsive of children's education, food and other basic needs. Our social worker will make case plan for the support children and families needs in order to keep children safe and stable in the family and community.
In this quarter, we reunified 6 children into family, kinship and relatives.
