Since the last reporting period, the Rescue 80 Children from Street Begging in Nigeria project has remained focused on fundraising, donor engagement, and preparations for field implementation. Financial mobilization continues to be the primary priority, as the project requires substantial resources before full-scale rescue and rehabilitation activities can begin. To date, the project has raised approximately $23 toward the total funding goal of $121,800, leaving approximately $121,777 still required. The funds received have supported preliminary planning and fundraising activities, but remain insufficient to commence large-scale outreach, temporary shelter, medical screening, counseling, family tracing, and education enrollment.
During this period, efforts have continued to increase awareness of the project, engage potential supporters, and strengthen fundraising opportunities. The project team remains committed to securing the resources needed to safely reach and support the targeted 80 children. Additional funding will allow the project to move from the preparation stage into active field implementation and provide vulnerable children with immediate protection, care, education, and long-term reintegration support.
