20th Nov. 2016 will continue to ring in people ears in Karatu - Arusha for many many years. It was a special day dedicated to biogas promotion, along with other appropriate technologies developed at Nelson Mandela African Institution of Science and Technology and disseminated by Gongali Model and TAHUDE Foundation.

The government leaders were so proud of the biogas project and they publicly declared their relentless support for the project.  By Sept 2016 TAHUDE Foundation has already built 90 biodigesters that serve more than 500 people. These digesters have served 41 Hectors of trees that would have been cut for firewood and more than 5,000 tons of organic fertilizer to boost crop production. The environmental benefits for climate change mitigation is also enormous because each biodiger stops 4 tons of carbondioxide that would have been emitted to destroy ozone and/or increase global warming.

We are so humbled by the commitment shown by the government leaders in Karatu District and Arusha Region on 20th Nov. 2016. This has paved doors for our biogas project to penetrate to every household. There are about 9 million households in Tanzania and more than 80% are in rural areas where almost everyone has got cows. Only two cows are enough to run the biodigester that can give enough gas for cooking for the whole family of up to six people - three meals a day; and 60 tons of organic fertilizer per year to increase the crop production.

We are determined to scale-up our project in 2017. We anticipate your relentless support through GlobalGiving and its partners. This is a win-win project because environmental degradation or let say global warming does not respect country boarders - it affect all every living creature on earth. So it is our joint responsibility to save our world for the threats of climate change.

WE ARE HERE TO PARTNER WITH YOU!

THANKS FOR YOUR RELENTLESS SUPPORT!
