I hereby report our progress in this quarter (January – March 2023). The main activity we did this time is to visit our beneficiaries to evaluate their success stories and any challenges they might be facing. As for the biogas customers most of them are happy with the performance of their biodigesters. Some of them have small challenges with the cooking stove (they are defective, after being used for about 5 years and above). So, we have promised to provide them with new cooking stoves. It should be noted that the biogas itself is expected to perform well (with proper maintenance) for about 50 years.
Moreover, this time we were so much blessed by a generous visit by Korean Professors (https://youtu.be/H0iqWhdrHNo). They were so much interested with our biogas project and wished to see how we build the biodigesters and the quality of the raw materials we use (the condition of the cow dung). For example, they measured the pH of the raw materials and evaluated various parameters. At last they gave their final recommendation – which was very positive. We hope to secure funds for a joint project with those Korean Professors.
THANKS again and again for supporting our biogas project since 2013. Through your generous support we have already reached about 1,200 direct beneficiaries (by 2023) and anticipate to scale-up our IMPACT TO MORE PEOPLE’s LIVES - because we have gained a solid experience, with time.
THANKS ONCE MORE
Askwar Hilonga – Director of TAHUDE Foundation
