This quarter we received 123 trainees / interns sponsored by Tanzania Education Authority (TEA) through Skills Development Fund (SDF) for biogas and organic fertilizer units construction. These helped to speed-up the construction and marketing of TAHUDE’s products. So we were able to complete the project of building 300 organic fertilizer units sponsored by the United States Africa Development Foundation (USADF)
The trainees were awarded certificate for graduation. They were very happy and played football with Karatu Young Boys Team; and won by one goal (1-0).
These programs not only create job opportunity to youth but also keep them busy and help them avoid destructive behaviors like drug abuse.
I got a privilege to play with them; which made them so happy and attracted to use me as their role model.
Biogas is still at its infant stage in Tanzania. Your generous support will continue to help us scale up the project beyond our community – which of course has already benefited a lot. There are few clients who are still indebted but with time we hope they will clear their debts and help us get a revolving fund to construct new biogas and organic fertilizer units at affordable price / flexible repayment loans.
For detailed information or further clarification / or if you have an advice for us please kindly write to hilonga@gmail.com
THANKS!
