This project will provide treatment and rehabilitation to wildlife rescued for release in Chiapas. Our expert partner in conservation medicine is Tivu AC. Our facilities are basic, we need land, material and specialized equipment to develop a rescue and rehabilitation center. We will rescue 400 wild animals annually. We also carry out education, research and community participation to raise awareness and contribute to a harmonious relationship between society and nature.
Currently, Chiapas, a state rich in biodiversity, does not have a wildlife rescue and rehabilitation center; habitat degradation and illegal trafficking are the main problems. Hundreds of animals die daily for lack of medical attention due to injuries resulting from road accidents, lack of reception sites for confiscated animals, lack of environmental education strategies that contribute to a harmonious relationship with nature in an integral manner.
This project will provide care for 400 wild animals that have been illegally trafficked, injured in accidents and rescued. They will have the opportunity for medical care and rehabilitation, therefore to survive and be released into the wild, in addition to supporting awareness and environmental education strategies for communities, urban areas, prevention of zoonoses and emerging diseases.
This project will help approximately 400 wild animals injured by accidents, illegal trafficking or other causes that require adequate and specialized medical attention to be rehabilitated and released, as well as the prevention of zoonotic or emerging diseases, awareness-raising and environmental education actions in communities and urban areas with comprehensive strategies for a harmonious coexistence between man and nature.
