Do Your Part saw the damage caused by the earthquake and witnessed the impact our previous shelter project had on the small villages. The gratitude was insurmountable.
We would like to help the communities purchase the necessary materials and pay villagers for the labour of building a water collection and distribution system in both Langdi and Mahipte villages. We would like to provide both Langdi and Mahipate with working, accessible water catchment, collection and distribution systems. Currently they walk for over 30 mins to collect water and only then can they collect what they can carry.
We would like to create payed work in the villages that don't have any other way of making money. The villages are self sustainable (apart from accessible water) however they have no way of earning money, so, hospital visits etc are very difficult.
