Embracing math in the mexican youth, mainly girls

Due to COVID-19 schools, teachers and government have responded in creative ways to ensure students continue their education during this difficult time.

With and adequate  infrastructure to access the learning content many school closures have disproportionately affected the most disadvantaged students, who often do not have the devices or home environment to effectively transition to online learning

Descubriendo al Ser Através del Conocimiento A.C. is offering their services for almost free to support online learning, mainly math.

All students need to be motivated, but female need urgent support.

Teachers support and encourage creativity and critical thinking in their students. They use technology to complement learning, work on developing a growth mindset in learners and provide opportunities for interdisciplinary, real-world problem-solving.

Policymakers and civil societies need to find ways to empower teachers to drive change, and emphasise collaboration and creativity to ensure fairness in education. 

Factors that will help us to achieve good results in education: 

• a culture of experimentation and innvation in teaching methodologies
• strong leadership with bold aspiration to measure important skills
• technology evidence and trainig support learners, teachers and the system.

We had started to support children with their math education. Mainly girls in a vulnerable condition. We offer extracurricular activities with a personalized approach and with a social character. Our intention is to contribute decreasing:

-       The number of child marriages.

-       Gender inequality

-       Violence against the women

In general, girls’ education in Mexico is improving slowly. We intend to support and encourage women to enroll in universities. As a result, women could develop professionally in a dignified way. Seeking for equal payment and work opportunities. Despite the fact our efforts may look small they do have a huge impact in women that we intend to support. We strongly believe that our project is ambitious but not impossible.
