Dear friends,
The warmth of your hearts is greater than hot summer days outside. We want to sincerely express gratitude to all the donors who generously supported our project. We’d like to give our report about recent developments.
While working with IDP we have been always looking for new ways to effectively help people. In our search, we met artist Tetiana who gives already many lessons on practical art therapy using acrylic paints. Many IDP experience hard times with leaving behind their houses, belongings, their relatives and sometimes even their elderly parents who could not move. They live still under tremendous stress. Children are very vulnerable to such circumstances. In order to release their stress we are holding MC for children of 8-12 years. 9 children took part in it last one. We are very grateful that with the help of all the supporters from Global Giving all necessary equipment could be bought and trainers could be invited. Thank you for sharing a part of your heart with them.
While developing our project we also met with International Charity fund Caritas director and discussed that IDP are facing many internal conflicts. Often problems are much deeper than it appears on the surface. Both organizations put their joint efforts to work for IDP. While 10 children were having their painting class “Intuitive right brain painting for all” with Svetlana, their moms could chat with chairwoman of WFWP to share their life circumstances having a cup of tea. Such meetings give encouragements to all participants and success story’s sharing gives hope and support to IDP.
During the meeting we met one family from Gorlovka, Donetsk region. Kirill is the youngest son born in 2005, who is ill with cancer, the diagnosis of Sarkoma Ewing (bone cancer). Father left the family and does not support. Kirill was very cheerful child before illness, very fond of cycling! In fact, due to falling from bike "nightmare" started! – he got bone cancer. So many hardship Kirill overcame on his way to recovery – long months of laying in bed, lung tumor had to be removed, “failed” installation of the prosthesis, amputation of leg. But strong will of Kirill and his mother made miracle come true. Kirill had 90% chance to fully overcome cancer. Family is living in very tough conditions, renting place to stay being IDP family with costly treatment. With donors support we could provide moral and financial support to Kirill. Thank you for your constant support!
