Hello, dear friends. We are happy to share about our activities for the last three months.
Thanks to your support we could organize few different programs to make joyful Christmas and New Year celebrations for our beneficiaries. One of the programs was the online Handmade Charity Fair, where our beneficiaries also could exhibit their crafts and raise funds to support their families. We prepared New Year gifts for each child.
One of such children was 16-years old Julia who moved out from Donbas six years ago together with her mother Svitlana. First, they lived free of charge in a factory dispensary, but then they had to move out and stay in a rented apartment without furniture or a bed. In the beginning, they had to sleep on the floor, putting bags of clothes under their heads. Both mother and daughter have health problems: Svitlana needs surgery, Julia has a chronic heart condition. Women’s Federation has included their family in the support group, providing material and psychological assistance.
For Saint Nicholas Day that is celebrated in Ukraine on December 19, the Women’s Federation for World Peace organized the festive event for IDP kids with gifts, honey gingerbread, and a fun contest program.
Another Saint Nicholas Day for families with many children and IDP families went with the support of the Goloseevsk regional administration in Kyiv. Children and parents enjoyed the festive program and gifts very much.
We also provided financial aid for renovating the rehabilitation center in the village of Volodarka, Kyiv oblast. The Centre is planned to host for rehabilitation and recreation of IDP children, as well as children whose parents died in the war.
Thank you for making such a happy start of the year possible! We wish all of you a wonderful year of 2021!
