The project will target 15 families living at beach camp.These families are classified as server poverty, their homes are really show very poor indications & their toilets are unhygienic, unsanitary & unhealthy and it may cause some diseases if certain renovation, upgrading & development are not considered. Key renovation & repair activities will be transported out in the proposed 15 toilets like: toilet chairs, flushing system, washing sink, water & waste water networks & small ceramic tilling.
Beach Camp is nearly inhabited by 90000 people. The camp suffers from different problems in several sectors including health, education and environmental. 40% of the people do live in sever poverty line, not mentioning the continuous problem of electricity and water. Some families in the beach camp do suffer from the unsanitary toilets which in most case the core problems for some diseases mainly to children and women specially that those toilets are built using the old system.
From our vision to help people and following the principle of DRR we decided to help with rehabilitating those bathrooms or toilets. Based on the serval interviews conducted by our NGO, the issue of rehabilitation, renovation and upgrading of family toilets were at the top priority for poor families in the beach camp. For these reasons, our NGO has come with this initiative trying to put an end to the nuisance and unhygienic problems associated with such dirty toilets.
