Our school says yes to every child that is removed from government schools due to physical and/or mental disabilities and we work on a one to one plan to help each child. Our school in India started out as a local mothers home and today is now a fully registered and operational school dedicated to children with disabilities. It is the only one of t's kind and as such we have parents wanting to bring their children from up to 3 hours away, however due to poverty they can't afford the transport.
We welcome children with a range of needs, from paralysis to terminal illnesses and serious behavioral issues. The only school of its kind in the area, families travel from afar to us and how staff help everyone that comes through our doors however sadly we have no government funding so we have passionate staff but any physiotherapy session, computers, equipment we need we are lacking.
It costs us $45 per day for one co ordinator, thank you for your support.
