We're incredibly grateful to share that this fundraiser for Andrii Syzon has been successfully closed.
His specialized rehabilitation course has been fully paid for and completed.
In 2023, Andrii sustained a shrapnel wound to the head that left him with left-sided hemiparesis, partial paralysis affecting his arm and leg. Thanks to your support, he completed a full course of physiotherapy, occupational therapy, and neurological treatment at the Western Rehabilitation and Sports Center.
During his program, Andrii worked on strength, endurance, balance, and neuromuscular control on his affected side and the results confirm real progress:
Behind each of these numbers are hours of hard work, perseverance, and a fight for every new movement.
On GlobalGiving, our donors contributed $437 through 12 individual donations toward this fundraiser and we are deeply grateful for your steady, continued support. The remaining balance needed to fully fund Andrii's rehabilitation was covered by our partners, including British-Ukrainian Aid, together with donors supporting us through our other fundraising channels. In total, UAH 90,000 was raised and transferred to cover the full cost of his program.
Recovery still lies ahead, along with new challenges and new victories.
We sincerely believe that one day Andrii will fulfill his dream and climb Hoverla again on his own two feet.
Thank you to everyone on GlobalGiving who became part of this journey through a donation, a share, or a kind word.
Together, we help our defenders return to a full life.
With gratitude,
CITIZEN UKRAINE CHARITY FOUNDATION
