Dear Rozaria Memorial Trust Development Partner
It has been a tough and emotional year for us, the students and teachers of Magaya Primary School and the community at large; we remain with uncompleted classroom blocks at Magaya Primary School. Yes, we moved milestones together in the year 2013 and 2014 in which we manage to achieve the construction of the four classrooms from slab level up to the roof level but our hearts are heavy as the kids are using these incomplete classrooms; they are neither plastered nor floored.
Rozaria Memorial Trust board of Trustees and Magaya School Development Committee met on the 6th of September on progress of the project and on finding ways to push for the completion of the classroom. We agreed that the remaining work should be completed by the 31st of December 2015. “We have to give our kids a big new year present that will make their learning enjoyable and productive for the long term benefit of our community and the country at large” said RMT Board Chairperson Mrs Nyaradzayi Gumbonzvanda at the meeting.
We appreciate so much the support you have given us up to this stage and we believe the continued partnership will make us raise the $3000-00 dollars which we need to complete the construction of the classroom blocks. What only remains is the flooring, plastering, glazing and painting of the two classroom blocks.
The completion of the project will enhance the not the learning environment at the school but will also be critical in improving the children enrolment at the school. Recent trends have seen the school losing a bigger number of kids to neighbouring school because of lack of classrooms. This has been negatively affecting the cash flow at the school.
Your continued support and interest to this project makes us to realise our dream of providing better learning facilities for the students at Magaya Primary School.
