Dear Rozaria Memorial Trust Development Partner
We acknowledge your partnership with us for the past two ayears as we worked together towards the construction of two classroom blocks at Magaya Primary School. We have moved milestones in the period under review as we managed to construct two classroom blocks. The two blocks have been roofed but flooring, glazing and outside plastering is still to be done. However it is with heavy heart that we report that despite the current state of the classrooms, the students are already using them as the school has acute shortage of learning space.
In the last quarter no much progress has been achieved towards the completion of the work under review. We remain with some hanging work to make the project complete and for us to officially hand over the classroom blocks to the school. The bulk of the work has been done, what only remains is the flooring, plastering, glazing and painting of the two classroom blocks. The completion of the project will not only enhance the learning environment at the school but will also be critical in improving the children enrolment at the school. Recent trends have seen the school losing a bigger number of kids to neighbouring schools because of lack of classrooms. This has been negatively affecting the cash flow at the school in the process hampering infrastructure development.
We are now at the heart of winter but the kids are learning in classroom that are without window panes and which are dust. This has a negative bearing to the health of the children and their educational performance.
