Sindh Disabled Welfare Association (SDWA) continued supporting children and individuals with disabilities in Thari Mir Wah, where access to rehabilitation and disability services remains limited. Through this project, 40 beneficiaries received practical support, including mobility assistance, health kits, physiotherapy, ration kits, and hygiene items such as soap. These services and supplies helped beneficiaries address immediate health, mobility, food, and hygiene needs.
For children with cerebral palsy (CP) and other disabilities, regular therapy and mobility support can be especially important for maintaining movement and improving independence. The physiotherapy and mobility assistance provided through the project gave beneficiaries access to support that is otherwise difficult to obtain locally. Ration and hygiene kits also helped families manage some of their essential daily needs.
SDWA aims to build on this work by developing accessible rehabilitation services in Thari Mir Wah, including physiotherapy, speech therapy, mobility support, and vocational training. By bringing these services closer to families, the project seeks to create greater opportunities for children and adults with disabilities to live healthier, more independent, and dignified lives.
