Warmest greetings to all of our supporters here on GlobalGiving.
As this year comes to an end, we want to express how grateful we are to have had you by our side. Thanks to your generosity, Fuji Forest continued to grow, providing jobs for local communities, educating young people about nature, and sharing Japanese forestry practices to our international partners and volunteers.
Over a short time span, it might be hard to see the real impact of these efforts. To make sure planted trees actually grow into a mature and healthy forest, it takes years of consistent maintenance in cooperation with local communities. However, once you look back after a few years, the change becomes apparent. Below are aerial photos of our project site from 2013 and 2021. The thriving forest you see in the 2021 image shows the powerful change your support has brought overtime.
This year also brought a big change for Japan, as we welcomed our first female Prime Minister. Inspired by this spirit of new beginnings, we at OISCA are excited to start new initiatives in the coming year. As we celebrate 20 years of this project, we feel deeply thankful for your continued support and hope to walk forward together through our upcoming endeavors.
