On 2 April 2019, we removed a large ghost net stuck on the reef. Thank you to our friends at Tioman Island for helping us out: Tioman Marine Conservation Group members, Fdiver, Cabana Dive Center, Azri from Sealantis Dive Centre, Siput Scuba for the scissors, and Fourth Element for the Kevlar gloves! It's always nice to see people coming together to protect the ocean.
We also installed a new mooring buoy on the same day. Mooring buoys are used by tourist boats to tether on the same spot in the sea, instead of dropping heavy anchors onto coral reefs, thus destroying them.
