Working with teachers and school principals:a practical experience

As this school year comes to an end, we have to make a special shout-out to our teachers and school principals. The pandemic is still a concern throughout education spaces in Mexico, children under the age of 12 haven't had the opportunity to get vaccinated and the chances of getting COVID are still worrying parents and teachers a like.

Teachers' role in education has become even more important than ever before, they are not only being educators to children but also are fighting the great education gap created in the last two years. Lazos joins their fight giving them our yearly Teacher Training program, this year focused on the recovery of learning indicators.

For the first time, our Teacher Training Program was structured in two stages. The first one was focused on Workshops specialized in Spanish and Math subjects with three sessions where teachers worked in educational units to learn and teach focal competitive approaches in education.

The second part of our Teacher Training Program was two conference sessions with experts of the Mexican Board of Neuroscience on subjects such as Neuroscience in education through Neurodidactics and the function of specific brain areas, which enable teachers to incorporate new strategies in their teaching techniques inside the classroom and recover the learning loss caused by the pandemic.

We want to close this report once again by thanking all the teachers, not only the ones that work with Lazos but all around the world for becoming a beacon of hard work and commitment, for making sure their students get the education they deserve, and helping the world become a better place with their example.

We also once again thank YOU for helping us continue our work and invite you to spread this project.

Until next time.
