This project will help us continue our intervention in 130 public school communities across Mexico implementing our educational model that promotes high-quality education and strengthening the social fabric of school communities confronting the complex issues they face today. Lazos has been working, through 25 years, with the main elements that build the core of education: children, youth, parents, and teachers.
Mexico has always suffered a big educational gap that has manifested itself with more severity within vulnerable school communities. The current COVID-19 contingency has shown us the opportunity disparity that we have in Mexico, the at-home education proposed by the Mexican Education Department hasn't reached all of Mexico's corners creating an even bigger gap in the more vulnerable population.
This project seeks to continue to provide education based on human values to 130 low to moderate-income school communities and help reduce the educational gap that has been growing due to COVID-19. As well as to give teachers, school principals, and parents the tools to continue to make at-home education successfull.
The project will give the opportunity to 130 school communities to reduce the gap in education and continue to elevate the quality of education provided to their students.
