The villages where Kalanjiyam works, are severely affected by incessant rains ; currently the sitatution is getting worse and many families are losing their homes and are in need of shelter and basic amenities. We are now trying to do as much relief work as possible in this dire situation - the communiteis have informed the first requirement is food supplies, clothing and other basics. So we are mobilsing and providing these to our villagers. Presently 50 families have completely lost their homes and we are planning to support them through this difficult period. Kalanjiyam field office is becoming a shelter and we expect the situation will worsen in the next few days before things subsize. We appeal to all you well wishers to once again support us now in this time. THis support will make a great deal of difference to all the children and their families.
