PAZESA Horticultural Community is very pleased to have received a grant amounting to $353.50 from Global Giving. We hereby thank all the donors who have contributed to this grant support which come at a time we needed it most. Through this support PAZESA has trained and empowered 10 youths; 6 male and 4 female in sustainable Aqua-ponics. The trained beneficiaries have also been given 200L drums, Aquarium pumps, solar panels and accessories essential for Aqua-ponics to commerce stocked with Tilapia fish.
The beneficiaries contributed labor and local materials for housing the Aqua-ponics systems. Stephen, one of the beneficiaries was very innovative when he introduced the fastest and cheapest way of making “Grow Beds and Culture Tanks” by cutting the drums open using a hot machete/knife. To-date 10 Aqua-ponics systems have been established right in the community as “Community based youths Aqua-ponics training centers”. Our main focus now is to raise money for mono-sex/sex reversal component as well as project scale-up to meet our target of training 500 youths in Aqua-ponics to alleviate high levels of poverty.
PAZESA encourages all our donors to continue supporting this project until we meet our target and improve the lives of 500 rural youths. PAZESA will launch another fundraising campaign in December 2014. Let us work strongly on project scale-up. Together we can succeed.
We thank all our Donors and the “Global Giving” for this timely support
