Dear Donors,
We sincerely thank you for your support toward the Reduce Food Waste with 50 Solar Cold Storage Units project. Your contribution reflects concern for farmers facing post-harvest losses. However, the donations received so far are not enough to begin the planned installation, and more support is needed.
Across many farming communities in Nigeria, large quantities of produce spoil due to heat, poor storage, and unreliable electricity. Farmers are often forced to sell quickly at low prices or lose their harvest entirely.
This leads to reduced income for families and limited food availability in local markets.
This project is designed to install 50 solar-powered cold storage units that allow farmers to preserve crops for up to three weeks. With longer storage time, farmers can reduce waste and sell their produce at better prices.
With the right support, farming communities can improve food supply, increase income, and reduce losses.
We are grateful for the support already received and remain hopeful that additional contributions will make it possible to begin this project and reach farmers in need.
Thank you for your kindness and continued support.
Sincerely,
Ugbede-Ojo Dominic Kadiri
