Empowering Girls, Ending Period Poverty – RED Campaign 2025
Omuto Foundation | Mpigi District, Uganda
Dear Supporters,
In 2025, the RED Campaign made great strides in fighting period poverty, reducing menstrual-related absenteeism by 20% in our pilot schools. Thanks to your support, we trained 30 peer educators, launched 12 school clubs, and improved hygiene infrastructure in 8 schools by installing 5 incinerators and repairing washroom facilities.
Our community engagement efforts impacted 1,200+ people, with leaders integrating menstrual health education into public discussions. Additionally, we distributed 100+ reusable pads, and 120 girls received HPV vaccinations.
Next Steps: Scaling Impact in 2025
How You Can Help
We need to secure $25,000 by June 2025 to unlock a matching grant that will double our impact! Your donation can help us train more peer educators, improve school washrooms, and provide sustainable menstrual solutions to girls like Nakato, a Red Brigade Leader who now confidently educates her peers.
Together, we can ensure no girl misses school because of menstruation.
