Thank you to GlobalGiving donors for the support! We have installed 12 new recycling bins at Kampung Padang (Padang Village) on Mantanani Island, Sabah, Borneo Malaysia.
The new bins were specially designed in order to cope with the weather in Mantanani and damage caused by cows. The bins were allocated to replace old and broken bins around Kampung Padang and will be monitored for a month.
If the new bin designs prove to be more reliable and we raise enough funding, we will proceed with mass production to distribute bins to each household and prevent more plastic bottles from ending up in the sea!
