Each and every day, we’re wowed by your generosity. Words can’t quite express how much your compassion means to all of us at Jóvenes de Puerto Rico en Riesgo Inc., but from the bottom of our hearts: thank you!
We want to let you know that our youth participants have completed their community leadership program “Tiboco III”, where participated 10 youngers. Some of them are high school students and others are college students. We want to share with you a special story about one of our participants. His name is David, a young students from the Isabel Flores High School in Juncos, Puerto Rico. He wasn't a participant of our programs but he visited frequently our center in his school. This young has been pass from some difficult situations so he find a secure space to talk and learn in our center. Them he was refer to participate in our community leadership program and he complete it and got the certification.
Through the experience of this project youth learned about community needs, speak with community leaders, visit some communities and know about community self-management projects. With your support this was possible!
We had a virtual celebration, where all of the participants received a certification that they can use to their curriculum vitae. In this event we had the opportunity to share with one of Puerto Rico politicians, Lic. José Bernardo Márquez.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for helping to realize successful projects for our youth to grow as leaders. Let 's celebrate our new young leaders!
