For 25 years, Fundacion Manos Abiertas has worked to help people in vulnerable situations so they may live, grow and age with dignity. At the Home for Children "Ricardo Servente", we welcome and shelter at risk children between the ages of two and twelve years old who have been removed from their family households due to different factors including sexual abuse and family violence. Thanks to the work of professionals and volunteers, our children receive affection, support and integral attention.
Since 2001 we have strived to provide our children the best possible conditions so they can grow up with love and support. Today, we continue to repair the Home in an effort to improve the spaces where our kids study and carry on with their daily activities. This is why we need to repair the toilets, bedrooms and create a study room where they can do their homework and have study sessions.
By reconditioning our Home, we shall offer every boy and girl a more suitable, safe and sound place where they can fully exercise their rights as children.
Since its start in 2001, the Home for Children "Ricardo Servente" has welcomed over 250 boys and girls who have been cared for, supported and given the necessary tools so that their life experience becomes everything we dream for our children.
