Many people within Mbam, especially the elderly, expecting mothers and infants, have no access to basic health care services and many are dying in this remote, difficult-to-reach rural community from very easily treatable illnesses/diseases, such as malaria, infected wounds, cough, childbirth etc. The main problem is lack of sustained and dependable access to medical services. Expecting mothers don't have to walk for 20 miles to gain access to prenatal care and give birth to their baby safely.
This project solve this problem by: 1) constructing a small Health Care Facility in Mbam Community ; 2) the focused training and employment of three medical personnel, a nurse, a midwife and a medical laboratory technician, from this Community; and 3) the purchase of basic, needed drug/medication, medical equipment/medical supplies for the Health Care Facility. Small fee charged patients pays workers' salaries. This ensures Mbam Community has sustained, dependable, permanent medical services.
Your donation will: 1) literally save lives; 2) provide focused medical training and employment for three medical personnel (one nurse, one midwife and one medical laboratory technician) from this community; 3) assist in the construction of a permanent, health care facility in this remote, rural Community of Mbam; and 4) enable the people of Mbam to improve and increase their farming productivity. A healthy population ensures increased farming activity, improved rural economy, health and life.
