Right now, we do not have a new field update to share from this project. The reason is difficult but simple: we have not yet received enough donations to begin the bakery repairs.
But the need has not gone away.
In northern Syria, many families depend on local bakeries for affordable daily bread. For parents who are already struggling, bread is often the one food they can count on to keep their children fed. When a bakery cannot operate, that lifeline disappears.
For children, this is especially serious. A working bakery means more than warm bread. It means nourishment, stability, and one less day of hunger. It means a child has a better chance to grow, learn, and stay healthy.
