On August 26, 2026, devastating flash floods swept through Nepal's Bhote Koshi-Trishuli river system, severely affecting Rasuwa, Nuwakot, Dhading, Gorkha, and Chitwan. Homes, roads, bridges, businesses and infrastructure were destroyed, displacing families and leaving communities without basic necessities. This campaign will provide emergency food, water, shelter, hygiene supplies, medicines, clothing, protection and transport, prioritizing Rasuwa's hardest-hit communities.
The devastating flash floods caused loss of lives, homes, livelihoods, and critical infrastructure across Rasuwa, Nuwakot, Dhading, Gorkha, and Chitwan. Displaced families urgently need food, safe drinking water, shelter, medicines, hygiene supplies, and protection. Destroyed roads and bridges have isolated communities and severely hindered rescue and relief efforts. Vulnerable families need immediate lifesaving assistance and early recovery support.
We will provide urgent humanitarian assistance to flood-affected families in Rasuwa, Nuwakot, Dhading, Gorkha, and Chitwan, prioritizing the hardest-hit communities. Support will include nutritious food, safe water, emergency shelter, hygiene kits, medicines, clothing, protection, transportation, and essential household supplies. We will also support early livelihood recovery, helping vulnerable families meet immediate needs, restore dignity, and begin rebuilding their lives.
The project will provide immediate lifesaving assistance and early recovery support to approximately 5,000 flood-affected people across Rasuwa, Nuwakot, Dhading, Gorkha, and Chitwan. At least 1,000 vulnerable families will receive emergency food, drinking water, hygiene kits, medicines, clothing and essential household supplies. The project will also support transportation, helping affected families restore basic living conditions, reduce risks, and begin rebuilding their lives with dignity.
