Dear Supporters,
The Abuja-Keffi highway expansion has changed many lives in Mararaba, Nasarawa State. For traders like Mr. John and Blessing, the demolition of roadside kiosks meant losing not just a shop, but the only source of income feeding their families. Across the community, more than 158 small-scale business owners were suddenly displaced, leaving many vulnerable to hunger, debt, unemployment, and extreme poverty.
Despite this difficult reality, hope is beginning to rise.
Through this project, we are preparing to support 51 of the most affected traders with small business recovery assistance, relocation support, startup grants, and essential business materials to help them rebuild sustainable livelihoods. Many of the beneficiaries are women entrepreneurs and low-income earners who depend on daily market sales to survive.
Your support will help vulnerable families:
This initiative is more than emergency relief, it is a pathway to economic empowerment, poverty reduction, and community recovery for families affected by urban development and forced displacement.
Every donation, no matter the size, creates real impact:
Together, we can help displaced traders regain dignity, restore hope, and rebuild stronger futures.
Please donate today and share this project with your friends, colleagues, and networks. Your generosity can help families move from crisis to recovery.
Thank you for standing with displaced small business owners in Nigeria.
