In our previous report we mentioned that the first batch of 19 Form 4 students from Buyani Secondary School sat for their Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education examinations. Congratulations to these young men and women. They all passed and their school was ranked 3rd in the county. This is quite an achievement for a young school that was burnt down in 2011 and have been operating on temporary premises since 2012.
In another remarkable achievement, the students emerged champions in the Tana Delta regional English Drama competition in early March. They will now move on to represent the county at provincial level. Thanks to your generous support, the foundation contributed KSH40,000 ( US$390 ) towards this activity.
Well done Buyani Secondary School.
We are continuing with the sanitary napkins project. After running a pilot with 2 providers, we selected Afripads. After the feedback received through the survey conducted at the end of the pilot, the upgraded the product. The current product is now more comfortable, do not leak nor stain.

“I am very thankful to all donors for what you are giving us. I was the first student to be enrolled in this school and since then, there has been much improvement in the infrastructure of the school as well as the quality of education."
