Thanks for your support.
In March this year, Tana River Life Foundation installed solar panels at Buyani High School and provided solar lamps for the students. This would enable the boys and girls to spend evenings doing their homework and revision. Previously the students could not study in the evenings or did so under the dim light of kerosene lamps.
Thanks to your support, we supported the Drama Club in participating in the County competition which they won. This is the first time they are participating and did very well performing an original play written by their English teacher Mr Simiyu. They then proceeded to the Regional competitions in Mombasa, the second largest city in Kenya. The foundation sponsored their transportation cost to the city which is more than 6 hours away by bus.
We are working towards building a multipurpose room for after school activities and to house the mobile library which visits twice a month.
