By Julie Colombino | CEO, REBUILD Globally
Dear Friends,
There are only 3 days left in the Global Giving Challenge, and we're over 80% towards the goal of $4,000 to earn a permanent position on the site. So, we wanted to send you a quick update on what's been going on at REBUILD.
-------------
NEW SHOES
Our six artisans have hand-made about 140 'REBUILDER' tire sandals since the GlobalGiving Challenge began - even though the shop has been closed several days due to the riots related to the recent disputed election. Interested in buying a pair of REBUILDER tire sandals? We'll be having our first Shoe Party in Orlando soon, so keep an eye out for the event announcement on our website and facebook page!

NEW PARTNERSHIPS
A few weeks ago, we were asked to partner with Builders without Borders to create a recycled straw bale house. We are helping by making bags out of old tarps that will be filled with crushed rubble to be used as the foundation of the house. The BWB mission aligns with REBUILD's as they are dedicated to developing and promoting safe, affordable, sustainable, and culturally appropriate shelter in places of need.
-------------
We still need to raise $715 to remain on the GlobalGiving.org site and work towards our ultimate goal of employing 40 Haitian earthquake victims as full-time artisans. So we need your help to spread the word these last few days.
Together, we will REBUILD Haiti.
