Representatives of Network for Human and Social Development, La Compte, and Reach to be Heard addressed the members of the general public about the opening of the new IT Technical Training Center in Rawalpindi, addressing the requirement of sustainable livelihood and increasing importance of IT based skills for the local population.
The chief guest of the event was Madam Salma Khalid, a former director of National Rural Support Programme and pioneer of microfinance banking in Pakistan.
Furthermore, members of the general public not only included NGOs and corporates, but also traders. Students who are currently enrolled in NHSD IT Trainings were also present as part of the opening ceremony and furthermore emphasized that this training will be a net benefit for the local population needs.
It was also declared in this opening ceremony that the importance of system administration, knowledge about Linux systems and a focus towards how to maintain computers in this modern age of cloud computing. This endeavor has been appreciated by the members of the general public and they shared their appreciation of the work done by NHSD in poverty alleviation.
NHSD is grateful to our donors because of whom were were able to establish a state of the art technical training center where students will be provided an opportunity to build up skills for Sustainable LIvelihood and IT based future proofing, whether as front-end or back-end technicians they will be representatives of Pakistan at an international level and will benefit both their communities and families, as well as the national good.
