During the holy month of Ramadan, Aseel worked alongside Vulnerable Communities across all 34 provinces of Afghanistan to help families facing food insecurity and economic hardship. For many households, rising living costs and limited income made it difficult to provide daily meals during the fasting month. Through the generosity of donors and partners, Aseel was able to bring much-needed support to thousands of people during this important time of year.
Throughout Ramadan, more than 20,000 assistance packages were distributed, including freshly prepared iftar meals, food packages, hygiene kits, and Eid gifts for children. Over 18,000 iftar meals were served to individuals and families, helping them break their fast with dignity and access to nutritious food.
The program focused on reaching those most in need, including widowed women, orphaned children, elderly caregivers, street-working women and children, low-income families, and people living in orphanages, migrant camps, and hospitals. For many beneficiaries, this assistance provided relief from the daily worry of how to secure their next meal and allowed them to observe Ramadan with greater peace of mind.
Beyond addressing immediate food needs, the initiative brought a sense of hope and solidarity to communities facing difficult circumstances. Families expressed gratitude for the support, knowing that people around the world were standing with them during a challenging time. The assistance helped ease financial pressure, improve access to essential food items, and ensure that vulnerable individuals were not forgotten during the holy month.
Aseel is deeply grateful to every donor and supporter who made this effort possible. Your generosity helped thousands of families experience Ramadan with greater dignity, comfort, and hope. With your continued support, we look forward to reaching even more vulnerable communities and extending life-changing assistance to those who need it most.
