Tharparkar Sindh Pakistan is the facing drought like situation since last many years and people living under poverty line, they not even afford one time food, FRDP Planning to provide food packages to most vulnerable families of Tharparkar i.e. widows, orphans and poor families in the Holy month of Ramadan Ul Mubarak so they can fast easily. Food packages will be distributed among the poor, deserving and miserable people.
Tharparkar have been witnessing famine-like conditions for ages. The average annual rainfall is less than 250mm, which is usually uneven and erratic. The sandy arid area with high wind velocity has indeed a fragile ecosystem. If its vegetative cover is overexploited and marginal lands on the slopes of sandy dunes are brought under cultivation, the area will turn into a barren desert. During the last couple of years, more than 800 children died due to malnutrition in the district.
FRDP Pakistan planing to distribute Ramadan Food Basket to the poor communities who have no access to even one time food, They mostly practising fasting in Ramadan without food. This food basket will help them to eat three time meal and can fast easily.
Poor people have food available in the time of Ramadan and they can have food at least for the fasting, because the current situation is worst in the area and people not even take one time meal.
