Thousands of disabled Muslim families in Keffi live in poverty and struggle to meet their daily food needs. During the holy month of Ramadan, many cannot afford food for suhoor and iftar because of rising food prices, conflict, and displacement. Many also lack suitable clothing for Eid celebrations and cannot afford Qurbani meat or receive Zakat al-Fitr assistance. Without support, these disabled members of the Muslim community face hunger and are unable to fully participate in Ramadan and Eid.
This project will provide food parcels, daily iftar meals, Qurbani meat, Zakat al-Fitr assistance, and Eid clothing to disabled Muslim families throughout Ramadan and the Eid celebrations in Keffi, Nasarawa State. Priority will be given to older persons, widows, women, and children living with disabilities. The support will reduce hunger, ease financial hardship, and help families observe Ramadan and celebrate Eid with adequate food and other basic necessities.
This project will reduce hunger and improve food security for disabled Muslim families during Ramadan and Eid while easing the financial burden on vulnerable households. It will strengthen community support for people with disabilities, improve nutrition for children and older persons, and encourage continued charitable giving through Zakat and Qurbani. The project will also help families celebrate Ramadan and Eid with greater peace of mind and a stronger sense of inclusion.
