Instituto Alpha Lumen will participate in the annual "Rally dos Sertoes" (Brazil) vehicle rally. There will be 7 thousand miles traveled between Foz do Iguacu (PR-Brazil) and Salinopolis (PI-Brazil). This event opens the opportunity to make inroads into these remote communities, taking educational actions through an itinerant technology and knowledge laboratory - "lorry truck lab" - for children from remote communities.
Children from remote communities in Brazil has little access to educational and inclusive actions of human and technological valorization. These communities lack education professionals and public service equipment capable of providing technological inclusion, better quality of life and social advancement through better education.
This project will lead to a traveling robotics and technology laboratory that will provide technical workshops in the knowledge of physics, engineering and other skills to generate enchantment and interest among children in the area of exact sciences and science in general. We will promote an "Olympic knowledge competition" that will encourage and test the learning performance of students served with metrics to guide and improve future actions.
The impact that this project seeks is to open the minds of young people to the importance of studying and the potential that young people can develop when they have the resources and equipment necessary for this. An action, even if isolated, but that can show the potential that children and young people can have through education can inspire individuals to seek opportunities inside or outside their communities and make them strong leaders capable of improving the community in the future.
