Thank you for participating in our Raise the Girlz Campaign 2018. It was a huge success. Our International Women's Day Spoken Word event was beyond memorable. The girls performed original pieces that spoke to their experience as young girls in Jamaican Society. The girls talked about shame, loneliness, joy, friendship, fear and love. Over a dozen girls performed their original pieces to an audience of close to 30. There was even a dance and musical performance. The girls enjoyed learning Colbie Caillat's "Try." I don't think it is a song they will be forgetting anytime soon. The event gave the girls an opportunity to speak freely, socialize and enjoy a meal together.
Your donations helped us to enrich the lives of so many girls. We were able to attend to very specific individual needs to include transportation to and from school, books, computers, supplies and food for the leadership center. We are deeply grateful and look forward to your continued support.
