In memory of our beloved trustee late Radhika Arvindam, Ashwini Charitable Trust and Agastya International Foundation collaborated to launch a Science Project on July 1st, 2022. The objective of the program is to learning Science through innovative methods for more holistic and experiential learning.
Set up in Bangalore as an education Trust, Agastya International Foundation seeks to stimulate the creative thinking potential of children with an emphasis on science education. It seeks to redefine ways to gaining knowledge of science through an innovative education model that is holistic and experiential which provides opportunities to imagine and explore one's creativity with self-confidence.
Inaugral Session
The inaugural session was a big hit with our students. There were 2 educators from the Agastya Foundation and 43 ACT students from classes 5th to 7th.
The inaugural session was followed by the icebreaker sessions. Through various experiments, the teachers from the Agastya Foundation showed the students how to have "Fun with Science". The experiments included a few basic chemical combinations which fascinated our students. This was the first time these students are getting a direct exposure to science experiments and practical learning.
During the feedback session, the students expressed their appreciation and gratitude.
As we move ahead, the sessions will be designed and implemented for our older children as well.
We would like to thank each and every individual who has contributed to make this happen. This is a first for both ACT and the children; but it is a big step in taking the learning of science to a more relatable and meaningful level.
