Talk about the labor rights in the public square!
Every year, pride parades are held across the country. In the case of the Seoul Queer Parade, more than 100,000 people gather at the city center of Seoul. Not only LGBTQ+ people, but also our allies participate in the parade. We participate in the pride parades every year to promote LGBTQ+ rights and speak out against discrimination and hate.
At every pride parades held in 2024, We distributed “Guidebook for LGBTQ+ Inclusive Workplace”. We participated in parades across the country from Daegu, Daejeon, Incheon, and Jeju as well as Seoul to meet our allies. We introduced and distributed guidebooks to share knowledge about LGBTQ+ people and suggest ways to fight against discrimination together. In addition to the on-site distribution, we received delivery applications so that we could distribute guidebooks for them to their workplaces.
The pride parade is a time to meet LGBTQ+ people and allies in the city center and promote LGBTQ+ labor rights. After each parade, we distributed more than 3,000 guidebooks to more than 150 companies, organizations, and schools that received applications.
We hope the guidebook will be widely read by workers in the workplace. We hope it will be a guide to enhance understanding of LGBTQ+ people in the workplace and change the workplace culture and working environment.
