quality education to 300 children at kishanganj

We would like to wish Global Giving and our donors a very happy and prosperous new year.

It is my pleasure to share our latest report via Global Giving on the progress of our project to provide quality education to the marginalized children in Kishanganj district of Bihar.

The New Year has begun with a promise of reaching new heights and making education accessable to all the children.

The classes have began post agricultural and festival season from 2 to 4 hours depending upon the availability of the children as most of them help their parents in fields or take care of their younger siblings.Our target is to enrol the children in the age appropriate classes in the formal schools in March when the new session begins.

Rehana our teacher at Kasibari village is a dedicated and trained teacher who is from the community. She says,” teaching girls have ensured that our community will have educated next generation". Her husband has also started helping her in running the center, a giant leap in women empowerment.

Shahnaz an eleven-year-old school dropout started coming to the center. She says, “I am learning basics again and will join formal school from April.”

Some of our centers are closed down due to shortage of funds and donors.

Do contribute to help us reopen the centers and keep these disadvantaged children into the education program. We would be grateful if you can spread the word. We really need support to continue this program.
