Dear Donors,
Last month on a beautiful Saturday morning, we organized “Caldos e contos” in a library garden in São Paulo. We showcased exactly how our libraries are set up and also the reading mediation that is part of our interaction with the communities.
“Caldos e contos” translates to “Soup and Stories”. This was the 4th edition of the event which started by being held in winter with the soup warming the bodies and the stories for the soul. This time there was no soup, as the sun did that part, but there was no lack of great moments and stories. It was a lovely morning with fantastic beings - dogs, cats and birds included - with breakfast, reading mediation, interactive music workshop and a lot of joy in between.
In total 135 adults, and more than 100 kids were present. This event has the objective to help us acquire new recurrent donors to help Vaga Lume’s operational sustainability in the Amazon. We got to share what we do, how we do it and why we do it. Enjoy the pictures below, they are only a part of it but convey the friendly and vivid atmosphere created by the work of our fantastic team and volunteers.
If you like it and believe that books, stories and reading mediation can transform children's lives, please make a donation to help Vaga Lume to shine even brighter on Amazon!
