At La Nazarena we provide comprenhensive quality education to underprivileged children in Argentina so that they can lead their own life change. La Nazarena is a center for human development aim to support educate and encourage the needy and to promote the dignity of each women and their family. We provide them with tools, inputs, resources and knowledge. Thereby, each family can develop sustainable solutions and eventually improve their quality of life.
The right to education is not only the right to access education but also the right to receive an education of good quality. In Argentina, many children grow up in poorly maintained neighborhoods facing issues like discrimination, gender inequality and domestic violence. State-run schools are facing the following issues: poor curricula, teachers unions strikes, crowded classrooms, high dropout rates, lack of resourses and equipment, among others.
We have developed a new curricula fostering educational excellence and ensuring equal access: math, computing, language and literature, history and science. We offer orchestral instrument lessons, vegetable gardening, hockey and sport classes. High School Diploma for Adults. Education must be accessible but also adaptable. Collage scholarships are granted for the students who graduate from secondary school. Additionally, we have inaugurated an early childhood development center in April 2019.
We dream of ensuring a permanent support to these families by articulating with other non-profit organizations and companies. We hope to improve their quality of life and the standars of education. Consequently, in the long term, they will be agents of change in their community. There are 3 areas of focus: education, healthcare and employment.
