It's time again for an update from our project at the Qala-e-Jangi Girls school in Afghanistan. Read here what has been going on over the last few weeks:
WASH workshop: 1,020 students from 1st to 6th grade took part in the workshops on WASH (Water, Sanitation, Hygiene), which were conducted by our local partner organization OASE. The aim of the training was to provide the students with the essential knowledge and skills for good hygiene practice - from personal hygiene to hand washing and tooth brushing as well as preventing the spread of viruses using the example of COVID-19.
Planting the school garden: Together with the students, the members of the environment and ecology committee have planted trees and plants in the school garden. The subject of biology is taught directly in practice here, as the students maintain the area, plant and water the seedlings.
The construction work is making great progress: The metal railings in the corridors and on the interior and exterior stairs of the main building have been made and installed. Tiles were laid in the toilets and the hand-washing facility with the associated sanitary system was installed.
Thank you so much for your support so far! It is only thanks to donors like you that we can successfully implement projects like these.
If you like, you are welcome to tell those around you about our association and our work.
All the best,
Vanessa from Visions for Children e.V.
