Key Outcomes and Impact
Quarter 1 of FY 2026-27 reflected the continued strength of OBLF's community-anchored model of care, combining preventive screening, clinic-based services, home-based follow-up, and referral pathways. Across the NCD, GPC, and Mental Health programmes, the quarter saw 1,649 NCD clinic consultations across 31 villages, 335 patients served under GPC, and 195 patients treated under Mental Health, reflecting sustained community reach.
Capacity building remained an enabler of service quality, with training sessions conducted for frontline staff across the NCD (4) and Mental Health (3) programmes during the quarter. Referral coordination across NCD, GPC, and Mental Health services helped ensure that patients requiring advanced or specialised care were connected to appropriate facilities, reinforcing continuity of treatment within OBLF's broader model of care.
Way Forward
Building on the progress achieved during quarter 1 FY 2026-27, OBLF will continue to strengthen its integrated, community-centred model of care across the NCD, GPC, and Mental Health programmes. The coming quarters will focus on expanding village-level outreach and screening coverage, deepening home- and community-based follow-up, and strengthening referral pathways for patients requiring advanced care. Sustained investment in frontline capacity building will remain a priority, alongside continued efforts to improve treatment adherence and reduce stigma, particularly within the Mental Health and GPC programmes. With continued partner and donor support, OBLF aims to deepen its reach and impact across the communities it serves in the quarters ahead.
