Thanks to doing the project and obtaining donations through GlobalGiving, as well as volunteers from HP and other donors, we have managed to:
- finish the renovations and start the activity of the clinic for the long-term and terminally ill children. It’s been a year now.
- admit free of charge 40 children and their parents, whom we helped through diagnostics or treatment;
- Open perinatal hospice for parents who learn that their unborn child is terminally ill. Our doctors (pediatrician, neurologist, geneticist) and psychologists have helped 22 families;
- finance 473 hours of the in-home rehabilitation which benefitted 30 terminally ill children.
All of our services are free of charge. We work with the best specialists. We try to implement and maintain the highest standards of palliative care. Being the only facility of this sort in our area, we are proud we can do so much! We also realize that our will and skills are not sufficient, we still need funding, and thanks to the generosity of the GlobalGiving donors we have a chance to obtain it.
We are extremely grateful for every single donation we have received from you. Thank you for your trust and faith in our cause. We still need your attention and empathy. Each year we help more and more children and families in need, thanks to the donors and volunteers we can extend our care.
Currently we have 280 little patients from Lower Silesia, we have a clinic for long-term and terminally ill children, perinatal hospice, a support group for mourning families. We are supported by volunteers and we also educate youth at schools and universities on why it is important to help the weaker and less fortunate.
THANK YOU for all you help we have received throughout the year.
